Analysis of determinants of work performance for seafarers based on fuzzy Electre model

Abstract Nowadays, most shipping companies are aware of the importance analysing seafarers’ work performance. Thus, improving performance or finding out ways by which can be enhanced is becoming one decisive factors for success any company. Any organization aims to have employees who accomplish corporate goals and objectives using available resources efficiently effectively. Manpower putting more emphasis on that stimulate employees’ motivational level, creativity job satisfaction. In this study, we use literature review experts’ opinions identify determinants workplace seafarers working with Marine Services Company Limited (MSCL), a company owned government Tanzania. The data collected from random sample 30 MSCL Fuzzy Electre Model (FEM) developed applied determine significance sub-factors seafarers. fuzzy terms adopted in order integrate uncertainty subjective judgment when evaluating alternatives. computational results validate effectiveness evaluation model.
